What's the Speed Limit on Rantoul Street?

It's a simple question, but one that most Beverly residents should know: what's the speed limit on Rantoul Street (Route 1A)?

We received the question earlier this week from a resident, who said, "I was driving Rantoul St yesterday and realized I have no idea what the speed limit is there. Few if any signs!"

So, we checked in with Beverly Police for the answer.

According to spokesman Dave Costa, the speed limit on Rantoul Street is 30 MPH.

Costa said speeding does not seem to be an issue on Rantoul Street.
