108-Year-Old Woman Celebrates 100 Years As Member Of Boston Church

BOSTON - A special banquet was held at a Boston church Sunday to celebrate a parishioner's 109th birthday and her 100 years as a church member.

If you ever attended Sunday service at the Peoples Baptist Church of Boston over the last 100 years, you're likely to have bumped into or met Mrs. Beatrice Busby. That's because since she was 9 years old, she's a member of the church, dating back to 1924.
"She actually encouraged her parents to join the church," said her godson, Mark Gray. "She's been leading people to this church for some time."
