14-Year-Old Arrested in Mattapan Shooting
A 23-year-old woman was shot, say Boston Police.
Boston, MA - Officers tracked a suspect through multiple backyards in Mattapan Monday, arresting a young teen believed to have shot a woman, Boston Police said.
Officers got the call around 5:30 p.m. from the 500 block of Norfolk Street, arriving to find a 23-year-old woman suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound, police said. She was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The responding officers were then directed toward Evelyn Street, through several backyards on Clarkwood Street and, finally, to a garage basement on Clarkwood, police said. Inside were three suspects, including a 14-year-old identified as the shooter, according to police.

They arrested the 14-year-old, whose name will not be released due to his age, and charged him with Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, as well as several firearm charges.
