2 North End Banks Robbed Within 10 Minutes Of Each Other: Police

Police are responding to the scene after they say two Hanover Street banks were reportedly robbed within 10 minutes of the other.

BOSTON — Police are responding to an active scene on Hanover Street in Boston's North End Friday morning.

Police say a Santander bank was first reported to have been robbed at 9:10 a.m. at 287 Hanover Street.

Then at 9:14 a.m., they received word that a Citizens bank had been robbed at 315 Hanover Street.

Shortly after, the suspect entered the Century Bank at 275 Hanover St. but police say employees turned him away.

Police believe the banks were robbed by the same person, and have not yet caught the suspect.

Boston police say no injuries were reported, and they say the suspect is a Hispanic male in his thirties.

The incident is still an active investigation.
