4-Alarm House Fire In Dorchester Reaches Adjacent Building
Fire crews remain on the scene to check for hot spots and help investigate the cause of the destructive fire.

BOSTON — Firefighters are responding to a large fire that broke out in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood Monday afternoon.
According to the Boston Fire Department, crews responded to 59 Wales Street around 1:15 p.m. Around 1:47 p.m., the department tweeted that the fire had reached all three floors of the multi-family home, and had spread to an adjacent building.
Just before 1:55 p.m., officials tweeted pictures of the fire from the roof of the building next door.

Firefighters were able to knock the fire down by 1:59 p.m. but said crews remained on the scene to check for hot spots.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
