6 Vaping Illness Cases Tied To State-Licensed Dispensaries

The state Department of Health released the information days before Gov. Charlie Baker's ban on vaping product sales was set to expire.

Six people who have probable cases of vaping-related illnesses said they used products bought at state-licenses pot dispensaries, the first time the state has tied the illnesses to the dispensaries' products. The state did not say which products were used or where they were purchased from.

The state Department of Health released the information days before Gov. Charlie Baker's ban on vaping product sales was set to expire. Baker's ban, which started in September, was initially set to expire Dec. 24 but will be lifted Dec. 11.

There have been three deaths pinned on vaping-related illnesses in Massachusetts, along with dozens more cases of the illness.
