Commissioner William Evans identified the injured officers Thursday as Matt Morris, a 12-year veteran of the force, and Richard Cintolo, who has been with the BPD for 27 years. Both are with the East Boston station.
In an online update, BPD said Saturday morning that Cintolo and Morris, respectively, were recovering additional rounds of surgery Friday and Saturday. Cintol is in good spirits, the BPD said, and Morris is "recovering well."
