Best-selling Author Gives Holiday Bonus To Local Booksellers: Report

BOSTON, MA — Numerous bookstore owners in the Boston area are recipients of a $500 holiday bonus from famous author James Patterson, according to a report from WBZ News.

The New York native is best known for the “Alex Cross” series, which is a mystery series starring its namesake character with more than 30 entries. The James Patterson Bookstore Bonus Program has given bonuses to independent booksellers since 2015. Patterson has received the Literarian Award from the National Book Foundation for his philanthropy to those in his field.
