Boston Calling To Feature Its Largest Lineup Of Local Artists Yet

After two years of pandemic-related cancelations, Boston Calling returns with a lineup that features 51 artists, and 20 with local ties.

BOSTON — Boston Calling will make its highly anticipated return this Memorial Day Weekend with a three-day lineup headlined by Nine Inch Nails, The Strokes, and Metallica, but will now also dedicate a new stage for local and regional artists, festival organizers said Thursday.

The new Tivoli Audio Orange Stage will be set to hold the largest collection of area talent in the festival's history. With 52 artists playing the three-day fest, 20 of those artists have ties to New England. 12 of those acts will hit the brand new stage at various times through the weekend of May 27 through 29.

The Tivoli Audio Orange Stage joins the festival's already established Green Stage, Red Stage, and Delta Blue Stage.

Some of the local artists who will be performing include Boston and Burlington, VT based folk artist Ali McGuirk, Brockton's rap collective Van Buren Records, Boston-based rock band Born Without Bones, Boston Music Awards 2020 R&B Artist of the Year Miranda Rae, and Aaron and the Lord, an indie rock duo from Boston. Other local artists include Avenue, The Chelsea Curve, Coral Moons, Dutch Tulips, Cam Meekins, Crooked Coast, and Paper Tigers.

Boston Calling's 2022 bill features a diverse mix of globally recognized music artists including, Weezer, HAIM, Rüfüs Du Sol, Run the Jewels, Glass Animals, Kin Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Avril Lavigne, Modest Mouse, Goose, Black Pumas, Cheap Trick, Oliver Tree, EARTHGANG, Orville Peck, The Struts, and more.
