Boston Cop Arrested In Domestic Incident Involving Weapon

The allegation against Officer Dana Lamb is "extremely disturbing," Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long said.

BOSTON, MA — A Boston police officer was arrested Tuesday in connection with a domestic incident involving a weapon, the department said.

Dana Lamb was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.

Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long called the allegation "extremely disturbing" and said it will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

"The Boston Police Department takes all allegations of domestic violence by employees seriously. Domestic violence is unacceptable in society," Long said in a statement.

The Boston Police Department's Bureau of Professional Standards and the Bureau of Investigative Services are investigating, in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
