Boston Fire Battles Two-Alarm Ellington Street Blaze: Photos
The late-night fire displaced ten people and scorched the triple-decker Dorchester home.
BOSTON, MA — Boston firefighters received a late-night, two-alarm call Tuesday, battling into the early morning hours.
The fire department says it arrived on-scene around 11:20 p.m. to find heavy fire on the rear porches of a Dorchester triple-decker at 107 Ellington St.
The fire escalated to two alarms before being knocked down.

Nobody was injured, the fire department reports, but 10 occupants were displaced and the damage estimate was ballparked at $250,000. On Wednesday morning, Boston Fire attributed the cause to "careless disposal smoking material" on the first-floor back porch.
