Boston Firefighter Facing Child Sex Crime Charges: Report

James Corbett was arraigned in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday.

BOSTON, MA — A member of the fire department was arraigned in court Wednesday on various child sex crimes, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.

James Corbett, 60, was formally charged with trafficking a person under 18 for sexual servitude, two counts of aggravated rape of a child, two counts of rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child 14 or over. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, Corbett committed repeated sexual abuse of a young woman.

Corbett's bail was set at $25,000. If he makes bail, he must remain at home with GPS monitoring. He would also be prohibited from contact with children younger than 16 and would be required to surrender his passport and any firearms.
