BOSTON, MA — A former Postmates delivery driver filed a lawsuit in California accusing rapper Lizzo of unleashing a public backlash and social media threats after a food delivery order in September. Lizzo was in Boston when she placed an order through the delivery service. She then accused the driver of stealing food from the order in a post on Twitter.

"Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don't fight no more," Lizzo tweeted from a Boston Hotel

"That girl," Tiffany Wells, says she followed company procedure but had trouble with delivery because the "Truth Hurts" singer did not provide a room number. In her lawsuit, Wells claims Lizzo's tweet subjected her to social media threats and backlash from the singer's fans. Lizzo apologized in a Sept. 17 tweet, according to the lawsuit.
