Boston Logan Gets Holiday Refresh Ahead Of Busy Travel Season

BOSTON, MA — Traveling during the holiday season can be stressful. Long security lines, traveling with gifts and a number of other factors can make the experience hectic, but officials hope a refreshed look at Boston Logan International Airport can make it slightly more enjoyable.

MarketPlace Logan, an affiliate of Boston-based New England Development and manager of the Boston Logan Concessions Program at Boston Logan International Airport, has launched a variety of new holiday programming for December.

This includes holiday-inspired "winterscapes" reminiscent of the season in Boston, a ski gondola, frog pond, sleigh and multiple neighborhood-centric decorations.

Passengers who purchase items from Boston Logan shops between Dec. 19 and 24 totaling $75 or more will receive a free gift with the purchase. Travelers who order meals ahead of time using BOS2GO between Dec. 5 and Jan. 7 will receive 25 percent off their order.

The full line-up of holiday events, partnerships and more will take place throughout select airport terminals and are open to all travelers.

Surprise & Fly

11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Terminal B; 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Terminal E

"New to this year’s holiday line-up, passengers will be randomly selected by Santa’s elves throughout the busy travel season to receive BOS branded and retailer swag, travel essentials, restaurant gift cards and vouchers, and more."

Holiday Gift Wrap Stations

Dec. 19 through Dec. 24

10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Terminals B + E

"The debut of complimentary gift wrap services for travelers to take advantage of shopping post-security and will take the ease of wrapping gifts prior to landing. Each passenger will be limited to five packages each and will have their choice of festive gift wrap, bows, and ribbon."

Holiday Entertainment

Dec. 3 to Dec. 23

"There will be a variety of performances from string quartets, jazz trios, Victorian carolers, and holiday dance performances scheduled throughout the month of December."
