Boston Shutdown? Not Yet, But Walsh 'Will Not Hesitate'
Boston won't roll back its reopening any further than the state is, Mayor Marty Walsh said. Boston has voluntarily remained in step one.

BOSTON — Mayor Marty Walsh said he is not rolling back the city's reopening any further than the state is — not today, at least.
Walsh said he "will not hesitate" to enforce additional restrictions and scale back reopening so if the pandemic continues to worsen.
"If we feel we need to shut it down, we will shut it down," Walsh told reporters Thursday.

Massachusetts on Sunday will take a step back in the reopening process, going from the second step of phase three to the first step. Boston is among several communities that has voluntarily remained in the first step.
Walsh also urged residents not to travel for the holidays.
