Boston Mom A 'True Inspiration' To Daughter, Others

BOSTON, MA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your mom extra special?

She has been through so much in the past few years as my father got very sick. He was on a ventilator, had numerous surgeries and ended up with dementia. My mom has been his 24-hour caretaker and she does it all.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 and my mom was by my side through my toughest times. She sent me cards and food, and took my dog for me so I could rest. She was by my side when I got sober in 2014. My mom is truly my motivation, my inspiration, my best friend.

My mom never gave up on me. My mom has inspired me to be a better person and has taught me to fight through battles that I never wanted to. My mom makes me know I’m loved as she does with my older siblings. She is the most loving grandma you could have. Her grandkids are her shining stars. Most importantly my dad — her husband of over 42 years — is her best friend/

Seeing my mom do what she does for anyone makes me want to do the same. My mom deserves the world. She deserves to know she is a true inspiration to others and she deserves to know that not one day goes by that I don’t appreciate and love her for who she is and how she has always had my back on my darkest days. I couldn’t fight this cancer battle without her. My mom will always be my hero.
