BOSTON — All American flags on Boston police facilities will be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, Sept. 11 from sunrise to sunset.

This change in flag status is in honor of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 after a terrorist attack shook the country.

Boston police say this flag lowering is also for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the wars that followed the brutal attacks.
