Boston Police Investigating Homicide After July 4th Celebration

Roxbury Police are actively investigating a brutal crime scene in Roxbury that took place late at night after some July 4th celebrations.

ROXBURY, MA — A Boston police officer overheard gunshots during a patrol in the area of Seaver Street and Humboldt Avenue in Roxbury early Monday morning.

When the officer arrived on the scene, he found a man who had been shot multiple times and then run over by a car. According to a Boston Police Facebook post, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A report from Live Boston claims that the man was still pinned under the car when police arrived and that there was an unruly crowd around a long trail of blood behind the vehicle as the officer tried to help the victim.
