Boston Police Officer Shot After Park Shootout

BOSTON, MA — A suspect and Boston police officer were both shot during an incident in Roxbury early Friday morning, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.

Officers were reportedly investigating a group of people at a park on Dudley Street. When one person fled, police pursued and were soon fired upon. The fleeing person was hit multiple times in the lower body, while one officer was shot once in the arm. The injuries sustained for both are considered non life-threatening, and the shooter is under arrest at the hospital.
