Boston, MA - An investigation into the death of a man in his late 30s in East Boston continues Monday morning, with no cause immediately clear.
Mass. State Police said the man was found on the northern end of Constitution Beach Sunday afternoon, taken to Mass. General Hospital and pronounced dead there at 2:20 p.m. Police have not yet released his name.
According to a press release, a preliminary examination of the man's body does not show signs of violent trauma. However, police said, his death remains the subject of an open investigation led by the Suffolk State Police Detective Unit and assisted by the Crime Scene Services Section, troopers from the Revere barracks, and additional State Police assets.

State police note that, at this time, the unidentified man's death on the East Boston beach does not appear connected to a June homicide or a recently reported sexual assault in the same part of town.
