Coronavirus Hospitalizations See Largest Single-Day Decrease
There were some encouraging notes in state's daily update, but there were still 132 deaths reported.

There were 132 more deaths reported in the state's daily coronavirus update, but the positive test rate took a big dip 24 hours after a concerning spike and the number of hospitalizations saw its largest single-day decrease.
The death total sits at 4,552, while 1,696 confirmed cases brought the case total to 73,721.
There were 11,993 tests performed. The positive test rate was 14 percent, half of Wednesday's 28 percent. The positive test rate had been hovering in the low-double digits before the sharp increase.

There were 3,436 hospitalizations related to COVID-19, 126 fewer than the previous day's report. That's the largest single-day decrease yet.
Gov. Charlie Baker has repeatedly said single-day snapshots are not telling, but rather trends developed over longer periods of time.
