Donald Trump in Town Today

Here's where he'll be and what you should know about getting around the city.

A previously cancelled Donald Trump fundraiser is back on - planned for Boston's Financial District Wednesday at noon. And, yes, there are protests planned.

The original fundraiser was set for early June, but Trump cancelled in the aftermath of the tragedy in Orlando.

As before, tickets for The Langham hotel lunch event start at $2,700 per person. A photo opportunity with Trump, plus a spot on the host committee, requires raising or giving $25,000 by couples. For an individual photo with the candidate in addition to lunch, tickets are $10,000.

About 100 say they'll be attending a protest to the event, dubbed a "Black-Out Trump Rally" on Facebook. Participants are encouraged to bring signs and wear black. They plan to gather at Post Office Square at 10 a.m.

"We need to show up to show him - and, importantly, his financial backers - that we do not support his nakedly white supremacist platform or statements," supporters wrote in the event page. "We will occupy and hold the space, and make it know that Trump's hate is not welcome in Boston."

At least one other separate, smaller protest is planned for The Langham. According to Facebook, it will feature Congressman Michael Capuano, Councilor Ayanna Pressley, members of the community and SEIU Local 888.
