Edaville's Christmas Festival Of Lights Is Here For The Holidays

Edaville Family Theme Park, a renowned New England amusement park, is bringing back the bigger, brighter and better Christmas Festival of Lights to spark the magic for the holiday season. The park will take you on an enchanting holiday adventure where your family can experience countless lights, festive rides and attractions and unlimited Christmas train rides.

Katrina Raspa, public relations coordinator for Edaville Family Theme Park, let us in on all the secrets of the season, plus the upgrade that will allow you and your family to get VIP access to ride with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and all of their elves.

Patch: Tell us about Edaville’s Christmas Festival of Lights.

Raspa: As New England’s most memorable holiday tradition, Edaville will take you into an enchanting wonderland where you can experience millions of lights throughout the park, unlimited Christmas train rides, unlimited use of all 90 plus rides and attractions, and the chance to make priceless memories with your family and loved ones!

Patch: What kind of attractions and rides will there be?

Raspa: Edaville has something fun for everyone during this Christmas Festival of Lights spectacular!
Edaville’s Thomas Land brings the famous Island of Sodor to life while being decked out in gorgeous white lights. This Thomas Land is the only one in the United States, and has eleven themed rides that feature favorite characters like Cranky the Crane, Harold the Helicopter, Winston and so much more. This part of the park also hosts an amazing live show in front of the famous Tidmouth Shed with Sir Topham Hatt himself! Kids can interact and engage with Topham Hatt, Percy, Gordon, and James during this fun holiday show!

You can ride through Cran-Central’s 20 restored amusement rides with favorites like the Ferris wheel, carousel, tilt-a-whirl, and so much more. You can also warm up in Ellis's playhouse that holds an arcade, educational cranberry museum, and even more rides.

Take as many rides as you’d like on the Christmas Festival of Lights train ride that started this renowned theme park back in the late 1940’s. Soak in the stunning views of the millions of lights and mini Christmas sceneries Edaville has created while circling around the out bounds of the theme park on this 20-minute train ride excursion. Feel the history as you sit in the restored locomotive that graciously guides you on this magical holiday journey!

You can also go back in time while shopping in Edaville’s stunning Dickens Village for old-fashioned candy, hand crafted ornaments, children’s toys, handmade chocolate, Children’s Books, decorative soaps, and so much more!

Patch: How much is admission and what does it include?

Raspa: If you are a MA/RI resident, you can use our resident discount and receive up to $10 dollars off your full-priced tickets. That goes from $37 per ticket to $27. Remember, this admission includes access to the parks 90 plus rides and attractions (including Thomas Land) and the Christmas Festival of Lights!

We also have tons of promotions running throughout November and December such as the military appreciation promotion, canned goods discount, surrounding town savings, and more!

Raspa: Edaville’s gates open for the Christmas season on November 17th. Our season will run all the way to January 1st (Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas) For specific dates and times check here.

On this upgrade you will join Mrs. Claus, Santa Claus & all their elves on a 45-minute interactive train ride adventure to find either Mrs. Claus or Santa.

You will be sure to have a blast, while enjoying delicious chocolate milk and a yummy cookie! On this train you can sing along to your favorite Christmas songs, dance with elves that give out shiny bells and enjoy the view of millions of bright lights twinkling in the Edaville night!
