Elizabeth Warren Has Harsh Words For Senate Republicans
Warren sent out a series of tweets after the Senate voted to not allow witnesses at President Trump's impeachment trial.

Elizabeth Warren had strong words for her colleagues in the Senate after a vote to allow witnesses in President Trump's impeachment trial failed Friday.
"Senate Republicans have let the American people down, giving Donald Trump permission to conspire with foreign governments to undermine your vote," she tweeted shortly after the 51-49 vote that blocked witnesses. The vote all but locks up a speedy acquittal of Trump.
Republican Sens. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska were the votes Democrats needed to swing things their way. Alexander announced his intentions late Thursday night, and Murkowski issued a statement soon after the debate started Friday.
