Enhanced Security at Logan Airport After Ft. Lauderdale Shooting: Massport, State Police
Multiple people were reportedly killed in a shooting at a Florida airport Friday afternoon.

BOSTON, MA — With multiple people reportedly killed and others hurt in a Florida airport shooting Friday, Massachusetts State Police and airport officials say security at Logan International Airport is being stepped up as a precaution Friday.
A gunman opened fire earlier this afternoon at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport, killing multiple people, wounding others and sending scores scrambling in terminals while hundreds of others were evacuated to tarmacs, according to the county sheriff there.
Massport and Mass. State Police officials shared the following joint statement Friday following the news:

Additionally, multiple flights out of Boston have reportedly been diverted after the turmoil in Florida:
JetBlue and Spirit have flights heading from #BOS towards #FLL, which is now closed. They'll be diverted, presumably to #PBI or #MIA.
