Featherless Pet Bird from Boston Goes Viral

A featherless lovebird named Rhea is capturing hearts across the country from her home in Boston, made popular through Instagram.

Buzzfeed and others picked up on Rhea's "naked" cuteness this week and, as a few local outlets have already reported, it turns out she's from right here in Boston.

Writes Buzzfeed, "Say hello to Rhea, a featherless lovebird that you’ve just fallen in love with."

Rhea, who suffers from Psittacine Beak & Feather Disease, has more than 72,000 Instagram followers to date, some of who have made tiny clothes to cover her featherless wings. See more on her Instagram here.
