Green Line Closure: All Four Branches Affected
The closure went into effect on Wednesday, June 4.

BOSTON, MA — The MBTA announced that the Green Line service will not be available between Babcock Street and Heath Street, as well as North Station and Government Center on B, C, D, and E Branches through Sunday, June 8.
The temporary shutdown began on June 4 to allow for maintenance to the line. The MBTA is recommending riders use buses between Babcock, Kenmore, Heath Street, and Copley Stations. The Orange Line can be used as a substitute between Back Bay and North Station.
The line’s D Branch also experienced delays of approximately 15 minutes Thursday morning as a maintenance train had to inspect overhead worse between Kenmore and Riverside stops.
