Heavy Rains, Street Flooding Possible: Boston Weather

Pack your umbrella this week.

A fine start to June we're having here in Boston.

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued an advisory for heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms, starting Sunday evening. With them comes the possibility of flooding on streets with poor drainage. About an inch of rain is expected overnight.

"No significant problems are anticipated," NWS said.

However, don't put your umbrella away. 

The wet weather will stick with us through the start of the week. According to NWS, a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, potentially resulting in large hail and damaging wind gusts.
