Gov't Center Construction Fire Closes I-93 North, South Ramps
One person is hospitalized with what Boston EMS is calling a "minor illness" and the rest of the building has been evacuated.

BOSTON — The I-93 north and southbound ramps to Government Center in Boston are closed temporarily while crews battle a fire at a high-rise building under construction.
Firefighters are working on the fire at 1 Congress Street.
One person was taken to the hospital with what Boston EMS are calling a "minor illness" and at least two patients have been seen. Boston EMS said the remainder of the building has been evacuated.

The MBTA shut down service to the area Friday replacing it with shuttle buses for parts of the Green and Orange Lines Friday morning after a 'structural weakness' was found in the support columns under the Government Center Station.
This is not the first time stations have been closed due to the construction work in the area. Back in March, a demolition worker was killed when part of the Government Center parking garage collapsed, suspending all service between North Station and Back Bay.
