Investigators Work To Find Cause Of Brighton Triple Decker Fire
Boston Firefighters say 8 adults and 2 cats are now displaced after a 2-alarm fire ripped through a three-story home in Brighton.

BRIGHTON, MA — A fire destroyed a residential triple-decker on Washington Street in Brighton Monday afternoon.
The Boston Fire Department says the fire first started around 1:30 p.m. in a three-story residential building at 572 Washington Street.
Washington Street at Langley Road has been closed and will continue to be until firefighters can investigate the cause of the fire.

Fire officials say witnesses reported heavy flames coming out of the second and third floor back porches before the flames traveled to overtake the roof.
Boston Fire says they were able to take down the fire around 2 p.m. but added that hot spots and other lingering issues surrounded the building.

Firefighters say there were people in the building at the time of the fire, but there has been no word of any injuries.
