Jamaica Plain Restaurants Make Boston's Best Dining Ranking

Thrillist is out with a new list. What do you think of the selections?

BOSTON, MA — Tired of heaping praise on Cambridge and Somerville's flouring restaurant scene, Thrillist's local writer turned her attention to Boston this week, with a new ranking of the city's culinary scene by neighborhood.

Jamaica Plain took No. 9, despite being "a bit off the beaten path."

"It’s gentrifying quickly, which is problematic for a number of reasons, but in terms of the dining scene it means that some great restaurants are moving in... and that the prices are rapidly going up," the author writes.

Special props went to The Haven, Wonder Spice, Centre Street Café, Tres Gatos, Ula, City Feed and JP Licks.

A ranking like Thrillist's is meant to be a useful guide to any eater, but has the special potential to attract new folks to the neighborhood, particularly tourists on the hunt for a good neighborhood guide.
