Jamaica Plain Squatter Nabbed In Canton Home Possessed Fentanyl: Cops
The vacant home had been damaged, police said.
CANTON, MA — A Jamaica Plain squatter was arrested on breaking and entering and drug charges after he was caught in a vacant Canton home, police said.
Luis Ernesto Nunez Nunez, 29, was apprehended shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, malicious destruction of property, and breaking and entering with the intent to commit a misdemeanor, the Canton Police Department said in a media release.

Nunez Nunez was arrested after police were called to Green Street to investigate a report of a man found squatting in a vacant house, according to the release.
"A search determined the structure had been damaged, including a broken glass pane on the front door, storm doors ripped from the hinges, and screen windows and storm panels removed," the release said, adding, "Nunez Nunez was arrested at that time for the break-in."

Officers proceeded to search Nunez Nunez's vehicle and found a "bag in the center console that contained several smaller glassine bags containing a powdery substance," the release said. "The vehicle was then towed to the Canton Police station for further investigation."
Police determined the bags located in the vehicle contained about 57 grams of fentanyl and 4 grams of cocaine, according to the release.

"Nunez Nunez was arraigned on Wednesday in Stoughton District Court and held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Monday, Sept. 29," the release said.
