Jamie Simchik Joins Fort Hill Companies LLC as Principal Planner

The industry professional brings more than a decade of expertise in urban and transportation planning to the Fort Hill Places division.

Fort Hill Companies LLC, a full-service architectural, engineering and urban planning firm with offices in Massachusetts and Florida, today announced the addition of Jamie Simchik, AICP, as Principal Planner in its Fort Hill Places division. Based in Boston, Simchik will lead urban planning, transportation planning, real estate advisory services, project managemetherent and business development for the division.

Prior to this current role, Jamie was the Principal of Simchik Planning & Development, an urban/transportation planning and real estate development consulting firm. While in this position, his duties included consultation on portfolio operating pro formas, corporate branding and optimization of zoning regulations.

He previously served as a Public Engagement Assistant with Regina Villa Associates where he led public outreach for transportation and infrastructure capital improvement projects in Massachusetts. Additionally, Jamie was a Research Planner with Connor Holmes, an urban planning consulting firm in Australia, consulting on projects for government and private entities.

“I’m eager to take on this role and continue driving Fort Hill Places’ philosophy of developing innovative solutions that serve as catalysts for change, while simultaneously preserving the individuality of a community,” said Simchik.

Simchik is an active member of the APA Transportation Planning Division and is the incoming Vice Chair for Outreach, as well as the TPD Representative to the APA Smart Cities and Sustainability Initiative. He is also a member of the ULI Urban Development & Mixed-Use Product Council (Purple Flight) and the ULI Boston Infrastructure Council. Additionally, he is a board member of the non-profit organization Travlyn with Jaclyn and the DeWitt Family Foundation.

Simchik has a Master of Business Administration, Master of Urban Planning and Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from the University of Michigan as well as Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University.
