Jealous Ex Accused of Shooting Uninvolved Victim: DA

According to the prosecution, the victim was housing - but not in a relationship with - the suspect's ex-girlfriend.

BOSTON, MA — A man accused in the June murder of 43-year-old Jermaine Good was ordered held without bail Tuesday.

The suspect, 51-year-old Rogers Jordan, of Mattapan, was arraigned Tuesday in Suffolk Superior Court, charged with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Boston Police arrested Jordan near Stow Road and Doone Avenue Monday evening, after several months spent collecting evidence.

Good was found by police on June 24 outside a Doone Avenue home, apparently shot multiple times. His vehicle, which had been left idling, was located nearby, according to the police department.

According to Suffolk County District Attorney's office, "Evidence collected over the course of a three-month investigation suggests that Good was upset that a former girlfriend was staying at Jordan’s Doone Avenue apartment when he arrived at the apartment on June 24. Jordan and the woman were not involved in a romantic relationship. Prosecutors say Good and Jordan became involved in a confrontation in the street, during which Jordan allegedly shot Good multiple times."
