Judge Orders Mental Evaluation For Man Accused Of Stabbing Jogger
Louis Olivo, 37, was held without bail while undergoing evaluation, according to the district attorney's office.

BOSTON — A judge ordered the man accused of stabbing a woman while she was jogging along the Esplanade to undergo a mental evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital, according to the district attorney's office.
Instead of an arraignment, Judge Tracy-Lee Lyons ordered Louis Olivo, 37, held without bail while undergoing evaluation. He is expected to be arraigned during his next court appearance on July 19.
State Police said Olivo is accused of jumping the 23-year-old woman as she was out for a jog. While she was running across one of the stone bridge over the lagoon separating the Esplanade from a little island, he stabbed the woman in the head with a pair of scissors, tackled her and then hit her several times.
