Leading Senate Dem Shuts Down Elizabeth Warren VP Talk
"Hell no," said Harry Reid.

Boston, MA - Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says he "would yell and scream" to stop Hillary Clinton from picking Elizabeth Warren as vice president.
There's been talk aplenty that Warren, a Massachusetts' Senator, could bring her progressive credentials to the presumptive Democratic nominee's ticket as VP.

Should Warren leave her Senate post to bolster the White House bid, Baker would be tasked with filling her vacant seat, no doubt with one of his fellow Republicans. In a year where Democrats hope to recapture the Senate majority, Reid says such a move would be nothing short of disastrous.

"If we have a Republican governor in any of those states, the answer is not only no, but hell no," the Nevada Democrat said.
Will this be enough to quash the "Elizabeth Warren veep" chatter? In certain liberal circles, probably not.
But for a party that's striving to show unity as it circles the wagons against Donald Trump and the Republicans, it's a warning the Clinton camp will in all likelihood heed.
Meanwhile, ABC Channel 9 reports Warren will be sounding a call to unity at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention. Her participation there could signal the senator's role going forward, as she reportedly plans to rally Sanders and Clinton supporters alike against Trump.
