Lyft Driver Stabs Boston Woman: Police

A Roslindale 25-year-old stands accused.

A Lyft driver is accused of stabbing a passenger who hopped a ride Christmas night on Blue Hill Avenue, police confirmed to multiple outlets Monday.

WHDH 7News reports the passenger, a 21-year-old woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and has been hospitalized. Those injuries have subsequently been described as "serious," although not life-threatening.

FOX 25 reports the driver, 25-year-old Kiona Thomas, of Roslindale, will face one charge of assault with intent to murder in court Tuesday.

Lyft spokesperson Alexandra LaManna told Patch in an emailed statement, "We are deeply saddened to hear about this report. We are available to work with law enforcement to assist in their investigation."
