MA Coronavirus Cases, Testing See Record Highs, 178 More Dead

More than 3,000 new confirmed cases of coronavirus were reported as the state performed more than 14,000 tests.

Massachusetts saw the highest single-day increase in confirmed coronavirus cases, reporting 3,079 new cases and 178 more deaths. The total number of coronavirus cases is at 46,023, while the total number of deaths is 2,360.

The number of cases shot up as a record number of tests — more than 14,000 — were performed. It's more than 9,000 tests that were performed in the previous 24 hours.
