MA Coronavirus Death Toll Passes 4,000
There were 158 new deaths reported by state health officials, but there was some encouraging news as well.
The death toll from the new coronavirus passed a grim milestone in Sunday's daily update.
State health officials reported 158 new deaths, bringing the total to 4,004. There were 1,824 new cases reported, upping the total to 68,087.
The amount new cases represented a relative bright spot as more than 15,000 tests were performed across the state's public and private labs. The rate of positive tests dropped below 12 percent for the first time since March.
