MA Weather: Dreary Week To End With Bitter Cold
Get used to clouds, rain and sleet this week. By the time it clears up Friday, wind chill values will drop below zero.
MASSACHUSETTS — Get used to what you saw Monday and what you're seeing Tuesday, as the week ahead is full of clouds, rain and sleet. While February will continue to be mostly mild, with high temperatures bouncing in the low 40s before an abrupt crash Friday, precipitation and clouds are expected for much of the week.
It will be dreary Tuesday, with rain expected in the late morning and early afternoon. Icy, slippery roads are expected north of the Massachusetts Turnpike, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday will be the pick of the week, as it will be mostly sunny with a high in the low 40s and a light breeze. But an inch or two of wintry precipitation will start late at night and carry into Thursday. Things clear up Friday, but temperatures will dive into the teens and 20s. Wind chill values will dip below zero Friday night, and a clear, cold Saturday follows.
