MA Weather: Latest Details For Weekend Storm Provides Clarity
Forecasters were warning of the possibility of a bomb cyclone, but it appears a potential snowstorm will be pushed off into the Atlantic.
The potential nor'easter forecasters are tracking is now unlikely to do much damage this weekend to Massachusetts. Still, some rain and snow could develop as one of the storms "will sideswipe the coastal northeast on Saturday," AccuWeather said.
Forecasters had been warning of two storms possibly joining up to create a bomb cyclone over New England. They are no longer expecting snow from the storm coming from the south, as temperatures will remain above freezing and into the 40s this weekend.
There could still be some wintry mix Saturday, but the possibility of accumulating wet snow "look unlikely."
