MA Weather: 'Burst Of Snow' In Overnight Storm
An icy, slushy storm will drop some snow across much of Massachusetts by the time people start their day.

MASSACHUSETTS — A slushy, icy winter storm is expected overnight, leaving some freezing rain and snow for commuters to contend with Thursday morning. Snow and sleet will begin late Wednesday night and change to rain along the Interstate 95 corridor, with the most snow accumulation — 3-4 inches — in the northwest part of the state.
Boston to Worcester is looking at a dusting to 2 inches. A "burst of snow" will hit Worcester at midnight and Boston at 1 a.m., lasting about 1-3 hours, the National Weather Service said. Most of it should change to rain by daybreak.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 11 p.m. Wednesday to noon Thursday for much of the state, save for the Boston area and south of it.
