MA Weather: Round 2 Of Snow, Ice Moving In Thursday Night
Forecasters said the morning mess is expected to move out shortly, but then attention shifts to more precipitation.

Out with the old, in with the new. Forecasters are telling people to prepare for "round 2 of snow and ice" that will enter the region Thursday night and stay through Friday night.
Massachusetts is only expected to get some very light snow — mostly north of Boston — the rest of the way through Friday night. But an additional thin layer of ice is also expected, making for continued tough travel until the weekend begins.
The saving grace is the temperature, which continues to sit around 40 degrees in an unseasonably mild February. Any precipitation the rest of Thursday is expected to be rain.

The morning round of wintry precipitation is moving out in the early afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Early reports had a couple inches of snow north of the Mass Pike as of noon, but the bigger problem for many was sleet and freezing rain.
There were some problems on the highways Thursday morning. A rollover on in West Sturbridge closed two lanes for hours after when wood debris went across the Pike.
