MA Weather: Winter Weather Advisory Ahead Of Snow, Heavy Rain

Forecasters are keeping an eye on the roads during what will be a messy storm and the first winter weather advisory in weeks.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect all Thursday morning for a slushy, soggy winter commute that will see the return of at least some snow.

The forecast hasn't changed much, but some have up to 3-4 inches of snow falling north of the Mass. Pike during a wintry precipitation. Most areas will be getting 1-3 inches, along with freezing rain and sleet.

The snow will begin around 4-5 a.m., but will transition to rain after 10 a.m as temperatures rise to about 40 degrees. Heavy rain will continue throughout Thursday and into Friday.
