Man Accused of Hitting, Dragging Boston Police Officers Held On $75K Bail

It's for allegedly violating terms of his bail in another case. He'll be back in court next month.

BOSTON, MA — The man accused of striking Boston Police officers and dragging them down the street with his car was held Friday on a $75,000 bail.

Vincent Weaks, 34, was charged at his arraignment at Dorchester Municipal Court with four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and leaving the scene of a collision causing personal injury, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said. He also had his driver's license revoked. The high dollar amount is due to allegedly violating his bail in an unrelated drug and assault case. He'll be back in court Dec. 19, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office said.
