Man Killed, Two Women Sent To Hospital In Roxbury Deadly Shooting

SWAT team members and Boston police have cleared the scene, saying there is no longer a threat to the neighborhood.

ROXBURY, MA — A man is dead and several people were shot in broad daylight in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Police responded to Schuyler Street Monday around 2:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired and that at least three people had been injured.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and two women were transported to local hospitals.

SWAT team members were inside a house for a short period of time, but have since cleared the scene.

Suffolk District Attorney Rachael Rollins said the shooting "appears to possibly be a domestic incident."

"We want to encourage people if there are concerns that you have, you can always call the Boston Police about your safety or the District Attorney’s Office," Rollins said. "The people in this community who deserve to be able to be in their homes without shootings happening, we're going to be providing services and treatment to them as well."
