Markey Calls Trump 'Scum' For Advice To Crack Down On Protests

Sen. Markey called out the president following a governors' conference call where Trump advocated aggressive tactics on protesters.

Senator Ed Markey had harsh words for President Donald Trump following a national governors' call on Monday. Markey tweeted that Trump was "scum" for his response to protests against police brutality, following the death of George Floyd.

Trump told the nation's governors that they should be targeting violent protesters more aggressively and "Dominate or you'll look like a bunch of jerks." Trump went on to call most of the governors weak and singled out Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Markey tweeted on Monday "Donald trump is scum for fueling racist hate and violence in our country."
