MBTA Green Line Seeing Partial Shutdown In September
Shuttle buses will replace trains for the portion of the route that is closed.

BOSTON, MA — The D Branch of the MBTA’s Green Line trains will be replaced by shuttle bus services for eight days in September.
Between Riverside and Kenmore stations, riders will have to hop on a bus beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 3 and Thursday, Sept. 11. The temporary track closure is happening to reportedly allow for track repairs.
Two different shuttle routes will operate to supplement the absence of trains. The first route will operate between Riverside and Kenmore, and will stop at all stops beside Beaconsfield. The second route will stop at every route between Riverside and Newton Highlands, and then will make a direct trip to Copley via the Mass Pike.
Newton Mayor Rythanne Fuller said that six parking spaces at Newton Highlands will be unavailable during the eight day period.
