Meet Massachusetts' Puppy Bowl Competitors

BOSTON, MA — Get ready to get your "Awwwwws" out, as the annual Puppy Bowl approaches.

Massachusetts has two competitors this year, pups Daisy Moses and Mr. Whimpers, from Boston's Last Hope K9 Rescue. They'll both be cutely competing in Puppy Bowl XIII, playing for "Team Ruff." (Their opponent is "Team Fluff.")

In conjunction with the Super Bowl, the Puppy Bowl airs on Sun., Feb. 5, starting with a pregame show at 2 p.m. ET and kicking off at 3 p.m. This year also includes a host of online coverage, plus a virtual reality component, because 2017.

As Animal Planet, who airs the program, writes in its press release, "... after the pup-tastic game of ear pulls and tail tugs is over, they all end up as winners when the puppies find their forever homes."
