Missing Boston Kayaker Found Dead in Silver Lake

The man has been identified as 28-year-old Shi Hu, who friends say went by Kenny.​

A days-long search for a missing kayaker culminated Sunday in Hallifax with the recovery of a body.

Multiple news outlets have identified the man as 28-year-old Shi Hu, of Boston, who friends say went by Kenny.

The search began Friday, when police responded to reports of a man struggling in the water alongside a kayak at Silver Lake, just after 1 p.m. Search operations continued into Saturday to no avail.

On Sunday, the search resumed. The Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team announced late in the afternoon it had recovered a body from the lake.
